At ToolNova (accessible from https://toolnova-web.pages.dev), one of our core operational priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by ToolNova and how we handle it.
1. The ToolNova Client-Side Processing Commitment
Unlike many cloud converter websites, ToolNova executes image editing, image compression, PDF manipulations, QR code generation, and financial/tax calculations directly within your client web browser using standard HTML5 Canvas, File, and Web Crypto APIs.
- Your image files (JPG, PNG, WebP) are never transmitted to, inspected by, or stored on our servers.
- Your PDF documents are compiled and modified in-memory on your local device.
- Your income figures, salary data, and financial inputs are computed locally and are never logged or stored.
2. Information We Automatically Collect (Log Files)
Like standard internet platforms, ToolNova may utilize standard web server log files for operational health, security, and rate-limiting. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information.
3. Cookies and Web Beacons
ToolNova uses cookies to store information about visitors' preferences, record user-specific settings (such as UI preferences or calculator defaults), and optimize user experience. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. For more information, please read our dedicated Cookie Policy.
4. Google DoubleClick DART Cookie & Google AdSense
Google is a third-party vendor on our site. It uses cookies, known as DART cookies, to serve ads to our site visitors based upon their visit to ToolNova and other sites on the internet. Visitors may choose to decline the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network Privacy Policy at the following URL: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
5. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Privacy Rights
Under the CCPA, California consumers have the right to:
- Request that a business that collects a consumer's personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.
- Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.
- Request that a business that sells a consumer's personal data, not sell the consumer's personal data. (Note: ToolNova does not sell personal consumer data).
